Michele Stewart Artist Bio I started painting when I retired several years ago. My career was in accounting and finance, so I love the creativity that I have been able to discover through learning to paint. Art has given so much meaning to my life as it helps me to really “see” the world around me and to enjoy the beauty in everyday things. It still amazes me to notice how light bathing an otherwise ordinary subject can transform it into something that must be captured in a painting. I began painting in watercolour but more recently I have expanded my horizons to work in oil, charcoal and pastel. This enables me to choose the medium which I think will work best as I tackle each new project. I am an active member of Lambeth Art Association, Brush and Palette Club, and Gallery Painting Group.
