Artist Statement: Patti Fisher 2012
Patti Fisher is a member of the Byron Brush & Palette Club and the Lambeth Art Association. Workshops offered by both clubs have allowed her the opportunity to spend time developing friendships with other artists, explore different techniques, and immerse herself in art.
Patti will try any medium and any composition, always seeking and learning new techniques, honing skills to improve and grow. While watercolour is her true love, she also uses acrylic, pastel and more recently has been experimenting with a batik wax technique. She appreciates unusual perspectives, collections of everyday objects, colour, strong values and often repetitive shapes. Her broad range of subjects is influenced by her love of everyday things, travel, and our amazing Canadian landscape. While painting provides an opportunity for her to delve into her own feelings and challenge expression, she hopes her work will also pique the interest and evoke a positive response from the viewer.
